Job summary

Valor Hospitality Partners is seeking a Maintenance Engineer in Lucedale, Mississippi to respond to engineering service calls and maintain hotel equipment to high safety standards. You will perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other systems, and ensure a clean, safe, and well‑maintained environment for guests and colleagues.

The role requires 2+ years in building maintenance, a high school diploma, and hands‑on skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two years of experience in building maintenance and construction.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest requests in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment (kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, pool, HVAC, electrical, guest rooms).
• Take water samples and monitor boiler, loop and cooling tower systems.
• Operate equipment and maintain water and electrical systems, keeping logs.
• Make rounds of the property to ensure systems are functioning and safe.
• Respond to emergencies including alarms and power failures; notify authorities as needed.
• Assist with parking lot maintenance and snow removal as required.

Bending - required to perform inspections and repairs frequently throughout shift. Kneeling- required to perform inspections and repairs frequently throughout shift.
