Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Maintenance certification or equivalent experience desirable.
• Must be able to obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
• Electrical knowledge required.
• Experience in maintenance in Food Manufacturing or Processing desirable.
• Knowledge of safety programs (LOTO, Hazcom, Hot Work, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, operate and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Dismantle machines to access faulty parts for repair.
• Maintain and repair food processing equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance: motors, bearings, belts, fluids, filters.
• Conduct general maintenance: plumbing, electrical, new equipment installation.
• Document maintenance performed, including preventive tasks.
• Identify required parts and notify supervisor.
• Notify supervisors before maintenance in food handling areas.
• Clean up tools and debris and ensure GMP compliance after maintenance.
