Job summary

Daybreak Foods in Iowa is seeking a Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain equipment across non-production and production times. You will diagnose malfunctions, perform repairs, and document maintenance activities to support plant operations.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, electrical and mechanical work, fabrication and welding, and ensuring safety and GMP standards are followed. Strong problem-solving and able to work with minimal supervision are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Maintenance certification or equivalent experience.
• First Aid/CPR certification is required or obtainable.
• Experience in Food Manufacturing or Processing is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, operate and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Dismantle machines to access defective parts for repair.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and replace filters as needed.
• Handle electrical and pneumatic systems and document maintenance actions.
• Fabricate and weld as needed for plant repairs and upgrades.
• Maintain boiler and ammonia/glycol refrigeration systems records.
