Job summary

Senator Inn & Spa in Augusta, Maine, part of Lafayette Hotels, is seeking a Maintenance Person to perform preventative maintenance and on‑demand repairs across hotel facilities. The role requires standing for 8 hours, physical activity, and flexibility in daily priorities.

The team supports housekeeping, front desk, and food & beverage operations to ensure guest comfort. Candidates should have extensive hands‑on maintenance experience with knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or HVAC

Qualifications

• Extensive hands‑on maintenance experience
• Ability to perform repairs across multiple trades (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC)
• Weekend availability required in hospitality environments

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting and equipment repair
• Maintain pools, grounds and general property cleanliness
• Respond to maintenance requests in guest rooms, common areas and employee spaces
• Execute preventive maintenance checks (daily/weekly/monthly) to keep facilities in top condition
• Support other hotel departments with supplies movement and deliveries
• Uphold safety and emergency procedures; assist with snow removal
• Contribute to off‑season project work
• Perform any additional duties assigned by management
