Job summary

The Laf ayette Hotels family invites applications for a Maintenance team member at the Sparhawk Oceanfront Resort in Ogunquit, Maine. This role supports hotel operations, property upkeep, and guest service with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualified applicants will demonstrate a positive attitude, reliability, and the ability to work weekends/holidays. Experience in electrical, plumbing, construction, or HVAC is valued but not required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of guest service standards and hospitality operations.
• Ability to stay professional and courteous in a busy environment.
• Willingness to learn maintenance tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Grounds work and general property clean up.
• Moving supplies and receiving deliveries for hotel, restaurant, and store.
• Supporting housekeeping, store, and front office teams.
• Responding to general maintenance requests in guest rooms, restaurant, store, and employee areas.
• Maintain safety/security practices and knowledge of emergency procedures.
• Parking lot monitoring and other duties as requested.

Hours are 11am-7pm.

We are hiring a Maintenance team member to join our hotel maintenance crews. Applicants need to have a positive team player attitude, attention to detail, good work ethic, and always strive to provide great customer service. Join a great team in the hospitality business!

What is required?

• Ability to push or pull 60 pounds and lift and/or carry 30 pounds
• Ability to stand for 8 hours, bend, stretch, and reach
• Must display professionalism, honesty, and trustworthiness at all times in the work place and community
• Availability to work weekends and holidays
• Any knowledge/experience with any of the following: electrical, plumbing, construction/carpentry, & HVAC is valued but not mandatory
