Job summary

Worth Ross Management Company, Inc. is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day maintenance at a luxury condominium community in Downtown Austin. You will perform routine repairs, assist with light plumbing/electrical tasks, and coordinate with vendors to maintain safety and high-quality service.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the role emphasizes on-call availability, strong teamwork, and a proactive approach in a fast-paced, resident-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of general maintenance practices and use of common hand and power tools.
• Ability to perform minor maintenance and repair tasks.
• Willingness to be on-call or respond to after-hours emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs in common areas and residential units.
• Handle entry-level tasks including light plumbing, basic electrical work, painting, drywall patching, carpentry, and lock repairs.
• Assist with HVAC-related tasks such as filter replacement and basic inspections.
• Support move-ins and move-outs by preparing common areas and assisting with logistics.
• Escort vendors and contractors, operate freight elevators as needed, and conduct walkthroughs before and after work is completed.
• Assist with general building upkeep, porter duties, and package handling when needed.
• Serve as backup support to the Maintenance Supervisor when required.

• LOCATION: Downtown Austin - Seaholm District.
• SCHEDULE: 5 days per week (40 hours): 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. It may include weekends.
• PAY RATE: $20 per hour.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in residential facilities is a plus.
