Job summary

Job description

Job Summary

As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in our industrial facilities.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment in industrial settings.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, compressed air systems, dock doors, and other ancillary nonproduction equipment.
  • Perform general building maintenance such as drywall repair, painting, and supply/exhaust fans.
  • Complete tasks as part of a team or independently.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical malfunctions to minimize downtime.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams for accurate installation and repairs.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and machinery.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Upgrade and modify electrical systems to meet operational needs and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure that motors and panels are maintained safely.
  • Assist with electrical project installation.
  • Operate a range of equipment, including motor control and switchgear, conveyors, and PLCs, safely.
  • Work with low to medium-voltage equipment, control systems, motors, and other industrial machinery.
  • Collaborate with engineers, maintenance staff, and other team members on electrical projects.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair work.
  • Follow strict safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Journeyman electrician license or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electrical industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Working knowledge of electrical codes and regulations.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical problems.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
  • Motivated self-starter who can manage projects and make decisions.
  • Proficiency in using electrical tools, testing equipment, and hand tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts and respond to emergency situations.
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to both hot and cold environments.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
Compensation and Application Conditions

Base Pay Range: $31.05 - $36.28
Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. Visa sponsorship will not be provided. To qualify for this position, former employees must be eligible for rehire, and current employees must be in good standing.
