Job summary

Our client in Sterling Heights, MI is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the steel-based automotive manufacturing maintenance department. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to safety, and the ability to work with pneumatics, hydraulics, and basic electrical systems.

The role involves rebuilding/refurbishing equipment (CNCs, presses, conveyors, feeders and transfers), performing preventive maintenance, and installing new equipment per blueprints.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and basic electrical systems.
• Experience with MIG and ARC welding.
• Ability to operate maintenance machinery such as Bridgeport, surface grinder, lathe, and drill press, along with precision measuring equipment.
• Must possess own tools needed for the performance of maintenance functions.

Responsibilities

• Rebuild and/or refurbish equipment including CNC’s, presses, conveyors, feed systems and transfers
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Install new equipment as required based on blueprints and layout schematics.
• Rebuild and/or refurbish equipment including CNCs, presses, conveyors, feed systems, and transfers.
