Job summary

Abaris Real Estate is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general operation, maintenance, and repair of buildings, common areas, and facilities. You will respond to resident service requests, conduct inspections, and coordinate preventive maintenance to extend asset life.

In this role you’ll inspect boilers, HVAC filters, sprinklers, and life-safety systems, handle water leaks, and perform drywall and painting tasks. A strong safety mindset and reliable teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in general building maintenance and repairs.
• Knowledge of plumbing, drywall, painting, and basic building systems.
• Ability to identify and diagnose maintenance issues including leaks and equipment malfunctions.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to climb ladders and access rooftops for inspections and maintenance.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety and well-maintained communities.
• Understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform general operation, maintenance, and repair of buildings, common areas, and facilities.
• Respond promptly to resident service requests and maintenance issues.
• Complete drywall repairs and painting.
• Inspect boilers, HVAC filters, sprinklers, and life-safety systems.
• Walk buildings to identify safety concerns and maintain curb appeal.
