Job summary

Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area seeks a full-time Maintenance Technician Apprentice to assist the Maintenance team with basic repair of equipment across Manufacturing, Warehousing/Shipping, and other facilities, including keeping Garmin aircraft appearance in some locations.

The role requires a High School Diploma, basic knowledge of machine automation and safe manufacturing operations, plus strong communication and problem-solving skills; you must be able to lift 50

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience operating machinery.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily maintenance and work orders in electrical, HVAC/ Refrigeration, and plumbing.
• Assist with preventative maintenance, inspection and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment.
• Maintain maintenance records and logs.
• Follow supervisor plans and provide status updates.
• Use power and hand tools safely per rules.
• Assist outside contractors when needed and manage inventory of spare parts.
