Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a skilled maintenance professional to support prevention, repairs and continuous improvement across manufacturing, production, refrigeration and packaging systems in a multi-craft environment.

You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot PLC/instrumentation and ammonia/refrigeration systems, maintain water treatment, boilers, HVAC, and ensure compliance with SQF, GMPs and LOTO procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• HVAC certification or related technical field preferred.
• Mechatronics Certifications Levels 1-4 completed.
• 3–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ammonia/HVAC and refrigerant systems.
• Knowledge of general mechanical systems and troubleshooting abilities.
• Training in refrigeration and controls.
• Familiarity with SQF, GMPs, LOTO and Lean Manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Supports planning, scheduling and maintenance activities.
• Proactively maintains water treatment, refrigeration, boiler functions and equipment including ammonia, refrigeration, boilers, chilled water, compressed air, HVAC.
• Regulatory and compliance record keeping for all systems.
• Perform routine and emergency maintenance of utilities systems in a multi-craft environment including PLC, instrumentation, mechanical and general equipment repair.
• Responsible for Preventative Maintenance (PM) and timely work order completion.
• Other duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager.
