Job summary

Steel Technologies is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Decatur, Alabama. The role focuses on preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance, ensuring continuous and efficient plant operations through troubleshooting and proactive problem-solving.

You will work with electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, read blueprints, and support safety and quality improvements across the facility. Strong communication and hands-on skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of motor control systems, hydraulic systems, fire protection and mechanical bearing systems.
• Ability to interpret blueprints to fabricate parts and equipment.
• Knowledge of equipment installation and maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on all plant machinery.
• Support and improve safety, quality and efficiency in operations.
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and diagnose root causes.
