Job summary

Steel Technologies is seeking a Maintenance Technician to help improve safety, quality and efficiency. You will perform preventative, routine and emergency mechanical and electrical maintenance with effective troubleshooting to keep operations running smoothly. 1st Shift is from 4:30am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday, with possible weekends.

Pay ranges from $25 to $32 per hour based on experience. Benefits include medical, dental and vision after 60 days, 401(k) with match and paid time off

Qualifications

• Mechatronics certificate is strongly desired but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Experience operating metal working tools such as grinder, band saw, drill press, welding equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance to all plant machinery.
• Carry out the preventative maintenance program for the plant.
• Identify and address safety concerns throughout the facility.
• Maintain housekeeping and organization of maintenance areas.
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs and document work orders.
• Interpret blueprints to fabricate parts and equipment.
