Job summary

TD SYNNEX North America in Romeoville, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs in a logistics center. The role runs 9:00am to 5:30pm with a pay range of $25.00-$27.00 per hour. You will support safe operations and maintain equipment quality while learning conveyor systems.

The position requires 1–3 years of maintenance experience and the ability to work with electrical systems up to 480V 3-phase, as well as CMMS usage and spare parts management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–3 years of industrial or commercial maintenance experience.
• Ability to replace and diagnose AC/DC electric motors, drives, and gearboxes.
• Basic mechanical repair and troubleshooting including bearings, chains, belts.

Responsibilities

• Perform assisted and occasionally unassisted preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and building assets.
• Learn and support maintenance of conveyor systems using conveyor control software.
• Safely work with electrical systems from 24VDC to 480V 3-phase.
• Assist with removal and installation of equipment.
• Maintain spare parts inventory.
• Learn CMMS and operate it.
• Maintain tools in good condition.
• Maintain clean and quality appearance of equipment and assets.
• Follow LOTO procedures and recordkeeping.
• Meet attendance and safety standards; lead by example.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Maintenance Technician

Location: Romeoville, IL

9am to 5:30pm

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00

Responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and facility assets within a logistics center while supporting safe operations and maintaining equipment quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform assisted and occasionally unassisted preventative maintenance and repairs on all equipment and building assets within the logistics center


• Learn and support maintenance of conveyor systems using conveyor control software


• Safely learn and work with electrical systems ranging from 24VDC to 480V 3-phase


• Ability to assist with the removal and installation of equipment


• Assist in maintaining all spare parts inventory


• Learn and operate computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)


• Maintain assigned tools and ensure they remain in good working condition


• Maintain a clean and quality appearance of all equipment and facility assets


• Follow all Lock Out-Tag Out (LOTO) procedures, including execution and recordkeeping


• Meets all attendance policy and lead by example for all safety standards


• Perform other duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications (Required)

• High school diploma or GED preferred


• 1-3 years of industrial or commercial maintenance experience


• Ability to replace and diagnose AC/DC electric motors, mechanical drives, and gearboxes under the guidance of an experienced technician


• Basic mechanical repair experience and troubleshooting abilities to include bearings, chains, and belts

Skills & Knowledge

• Able to gain a working knowledge of hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, fire suppression systems, conveyor systems


• Ability to learn conveyor systems using conveyor control software


• Able to safely learn various electrical systems ranging from 24VDC to 480V 3phase


• Capable of learning robotics and automation equipment


• Ability to learn and operate computerized maintenance management software (CMMS)

Physical Requirements

• Physically able to stand, climb ladders, crouch, crawl and lift 50lbs unassisted for extended time periods

Work Environment & Schedule

• Able to keep non-standard hours, work overtime, and be available on call occasionally
