Westminster Communities of Florida is a national leader in senior living and dedicated to a Mission and ministry of service to older adults. Westminster is seeking a Maintenance Technician (full time) to perform plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance tasks under supervision.

Education: High school diploma or GED with 1–3 years related experience; you will take readings, operate tools, repair leaks, and assist with major projects. Flexible hours, medical benefits, and fitness onsite await.

• Basic plumbing and electrical repair abilities under supervision.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools for maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic plumbing and electrical repairs under supervision.
• Operate hand and power tools for mechanical tasks.
• Change light bulbs, A/C filters, filters, and ceiling tiles.
• Hook-up sinks and toilets/urinals.
• Take temperature readings and boiler room readings; test generator and pumps.
• Repair minor leaks under 1 inch in diameter.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor on major projects.

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN-FULL TIME

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines related to employment with Westminster Services and its communities.

• Perform basic plumbing and electrical repairs under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Perform basic functions that are mechanical inclined with hand tools and operate power tools.
• Change light bulbs, A/C filters, filters, and ceiling tiles.
• Hook-up sinks and toilets/urinals.
• Take temperature readings and boiler room readings. Test generator and other equipment & pumps.
• Repair minor leaks less than 1” in diameter.
• Assist as required Maintenance Mechanic/Engineer with major projects.
