Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team in Illinois. You will perform preventive maintenance on industrial machinery, troubleshoot robotics and conveyors, and work with engineering to optimize reliability.

This role emphasizes safety, documentation, and the ability to work independently or in a team to minimize downtime and improve plant performance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance tech experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in preventive maintenance, robotics, conveyors, troubleshooting, and PLC troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of industrial machinery; read diagrams and manuals.
• Strong problem-solving; identify and fix issues quickly.
• Excellent communication to convey technical information.
• Strong safety commitment and regulatory knowledge.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Carry out regular preventative maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
2. Troubleshoot and repair faults with industrial robotics, conveyors, and other equipment.
3. Interpret PLC codes for troubleshooting, and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
4. Respond promptly to breakdowns and operational disruptions, identifying the root cause and implementing effective solutions.
5. Monitor the performance of machinery and equipment, proactively identifying potential issues and addressing them before they escape.
6. Collaborate closely with the engineering team to understand machinery requirements and develop maintenance strategies.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records, and communicate maintenance status and issues to relevant stakeholders.
8. Adhere to all safety regulations and practices, and actively contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a maintenance tech role within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience in preventative maintenance, industrial robotics, conveyors, troubleshooting, and plc troubleshooting.
3. Advanced knowledge of industrial machinery and equipment, and the ability to interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
4. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely convey complex technical information.
6. A strong commitment to safety, and a thorough understanding of safety regulations and practices.
7. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
