Job summary

Absolut Center of Endicott is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Tech to support our long-term care facility. You will perform routine upkeep, basic plumbing and electrical repairs, and respond to maintenance emergencies to keep residents comfortable and safe.

Responsibilities include painting rooms, moving supplies, and assisting under the Director of Maintenance. Applicants should be physically capable of lifting 50–100 lbs, and be available one weekend per month.

• General Maintenance Tasks: upkeep of the facility and painting resident rooms.
• Plumbing & Electrical: basic repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Material Movement: move materials and equipment as needed.
• Emergency Response: respond to maintenance emergencies.
• Supervision: work under the Director of Maintenance to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• General Maintenance Tasks: Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the facility, including painting resident rooms and other areas.
• Plumbing & Electrical: Perform basic plumbing and electrical repairs and maintenance as needed.
• Material Movement: Move materials and equipment between rooms and different areas of the facility as necessary.
• Emergency Response: Be available to respond to emergency maintenance issues as needed.
• Supervision: Work under the supervision of the Director of Maintenance to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications:

• Experience: General maintenance knowledge, including experience with plumbing and electrical systems.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move at least 50 to 100 lbs.
• Work Schedule: Must be available to work one weekend per month.
• Team Player: Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
• Regulatory Compliance: Must meet the requirements of the Department of Health.
• Emergency Response: Willingness to respond to emergency calls as required.
