LOCATION: Mukwonago, WI

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment, facility systems, and infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient operations at IDC. This role plays a critical part in minimizing downtime, supporting production goals, and maintaining a high standard of safety and quality in a precision manufacturing environment.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBLY:
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
  • Perform routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance on CNC machines, production equipment, and facility systems
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
  • Diagnose equipment failures and implement timely, effective repairs
  • Assist with machine setup, installation, and commissioning
Preventive Maintenance (PM)
  • Execute and document preventive maintenance schedules
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and performance
Facilities Maintenance
  • Maintain building systems including HVAC, lighting, compressed air, and plumbing
  • Perform general facility repairs and upkeep as needed
  • Support upkeep of grounds and exterior areas when required
Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all OSHA and IDC safety standards and procedures
  • Identify and address safety risks or hazards immediately
  • Ensure proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures are followed
Continuous Improvement
  • Recommend improvements to equipment, processes, and maintenance practices
  • Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to reduce downtime
  • Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
Vendor & Team Collaboration
  • Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs or services
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding equipment status and repairs
QualificationsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical certification or associate degree in maintenance, industrial technology, or related field preferred
  • 2–5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (CNC experience preferred)
Skills & Abilities
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with CNC equipment, PLCs, and industrial systems preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures
