Job summary

Amurcon is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Maintenance Superintendent in all aspects of property upkeep. The role is essential during inclement weather and requires the ability to lift heavy objects and work in varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities include repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and general custodial tasks, along with standby emergency scheduling and on-call shifts. Safety, reliability, and teamwork are key requirements.

Responsibilities

• Repair minor items in areas of plumbing, electrical and carpentry.
• Paint interior and exterior, and drywall repair, if necessary.
• Perform custodial work, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning windows, etc. in common areas.
• Assist in grounds work when necessary.
• Repair concrete, masonry, roof, fencing, when required.
• Perform limited extermination services, when required.
• Participate in a standby emergency schedule for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage.
• Responds to all emergencies pull cord calls.
• Places calls to appropriate agency in the event of an emergency Notifies management of emergencies on duty.
• Responds to lock outs.
• Assists with after hour's elevator schedules.
• Maintain sidewalks and steps free of snow and ice for safe ingress/egress.
• Assist in maintaining a safe work environment.
• Knowledge and use of Safety Equipment.
• Able to work in all temperatures and weather conditions.
• Able to lift 50 lbs alone, 100 lbs with assistance.
• Must be able to work on-call nights, weekend and holidays.

Job description

To assist the Maintenance Superintendent in all areas required for the overall maintenance of the physical property. Maintenance Technician is essential personnel during inclement weather.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Places calls to appropriate agency (rescue, police, etc.) in the event of an emergency Notifies management, in writing, of any emergencies that occurred while on duty.
• Responds to lock outs.
• Assists with after hour's elevator schedules (i.e. scheduled move-ins, scheduled move-outs, authorized deliveries, etc.)
• Maintain all sidewalks and steps to be free of snow and ice. To maintain safe ingress and egress for all residents.
