Job SummaryThe Maintenance Tech repairs and maintains machines, mechanical equipment, plumbing and electrical equipment. They will clean and lubricate machinery, perform basic diagnostic tests, check performance, and test machine parts. They use their understanding of the equipment, technical manuals, and careful observation to discover the cause of any breakdowns. Once the problem has been diagnosed, they disassemble the equipment to repair or replace the parts then test the machine to ensure it is working properly. Experience level will dictate tech level (1, 2, or 3) upon entry into the position. Applicants with 0 years’ of experience may be eligible for the starting pay upon selection into the position.Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits and systems up to 480 voltsFamiliarity with complex machinery, electrical circuits, and plant operating equipment.
