Job summary

Robinson Terrace Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in New York is seeking a Maintenance Tech to keep our facility running smoothly. You will handle general maintenance, plumbing and electrical tasks, move materials, and respond to urgent issues under the Director of Maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks, including patient room painting and other areas.
• Conduct basic plumbing and electrical repairs and maintenance as needed.
• Move materials and equipment between rooms and facility areas.
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues as needed.
• Work under the supervision of the Director of Maintenance to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance tasks, including painting resident rooms and other areas
• Conduct basic plumbing and electrical repairs and maintenance as needed
• Move materials and equipment between rooms and different areas of the facility
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues as needed
• Work under the supervision of the Director of Maintenance to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively

Qualifications:

• General maintenance knowledge, including experience with plumbing and electrical systems
• Ability to lift and move at least 50 to 100 lbs
• Must be available to work one weekend per month
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment
• Must meet the requirements of the Department of Health
• Willingness to respond to emergency calls as required
