Job summary

Wilhoit Properties, Inc. is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to care for our apartment community, maintain curb appeal, and keep facilities in good working order.

You will perform make-readies, service appliances, repair wiring/plumbing, paint, replace fixtures, and inspect equipment with supervision from the Property Manager. This role requires physical stamina, ability to stand long periods, and on-call availability for emergencies.

Qualifications

• Experience in property maintenance preferred
• Strong mechanical knowledge
• Electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills essential for working on various projects

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical appearance and integrity of the apartment community
• Ensure clean and comfortable living environment for residents and visitors
• Completes apartment make-ready procedures such as painting; servicing appliances, plumbing, and electrical fixtures; repairing old and faulty parts; replacing burnt-out light bulbs; checking/changing locks; and cleaning
• M practices regular inspections of grounds, buildings, lighting, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, and major equipment and perform repairs as necessary with the approval of the Property Manager
• Maintain an organized maintenance shop and inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies
• Maintain apartment community curb appeal by performing lawncare
• Takes after-hours emergency calls, as assigned

Job description

Our Property Maintenance Technicians are responsible for performing various maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the physical appearance and integrity of the apartment community
• Ensure clean and comfortable living environment for residents and visitors
• Completes apartment make-ready procedures such as: painting; servicing appliances, plumbing, and electrical fixtures; repairing old and faulty parts; replacing burnt-out light bulbs; checking/changing locks; and cleaning.
• Makes regular inspections of grounds, buildings, lighting, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, and major equipment and performing repairs as necessary with the approval of the Property Manager.
• Responsible for maintaining an organized maintenance shop and keeping inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
• Maintain apartment community curb appeal by performing necessary lawncare
• Takes after-hours emergency calls, as assigned
