Job summary

True North Recovery Inc. seeks a dedicated maintenance assistant in Alaska to support our facilities manager, complete timely work orders, perform light janitorial duties, and manage supplies.

This hands-on role keeps our operational spaces safe and functional across sites. Applicants should have maintenance experience, a valid Alaska driver’s license, and be eligible for insurance; employment depends on background checks and ongoing participation in recovery support programs for candidates in

• Proven experience with basic maintenance procedures.
• One year of sobriety if in recovery and active participation in a recovery program.
• Valid Alaska driver’s license (18+) and insurance.
• Satisfactory state and federal background check.
• Strong project management and good judgment.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Ability to complete work orders promptly.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Proven experience with basic maintenance procedures


• If in recovery, one year of continuous sobriety prior to hire and active and continuing participation in a recovery support program, such as a 12-step program.


• Valid Alaska driver’s license and insurable under TRUE NORTH RECOVERY INC’s automotive insurance, which requires a driver to be at least 18 years of age.


• Continued employment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory state and federal background check.
