You will diagnose complex systems, calibrate instruments, install improvements, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Weekend on-call duties apply with competitive pay.

Formación

• 2 to 5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance or related field.

Responsabilidades

• Perform advanced electrical and mechanical maintenance on extrusion equipment while following safety protocols and production requirements.
• Troubleshoot PLC systems, electrical circuits, and control panels in a manufacturing setting.
• Calibrate instrumentation and conduct preventative maintenance on production machinery.
• Install new equipment and modifications to existing systems.
• Rebuild critical components including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Maintain facility infrastructure and grounds for optimal operation.
• Document maintenance activities and prepare technical reports with improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on continuous improvement and plant goals.
• Respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies during on-call weekends.

Job Description

Shift: 2nd
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM with rotating weekend on-call responsibilities (every other weekend).
Pay Rate: $30-36(commensurate with experience)
Shift differential: $1.00

We are seeking an experiencedMaintenance Technicianwith advanced PLC and controls expertise to support our state-of-the-art Bubble and Foam Extrusion Plant. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive troubleshooting abilities across electrical systems, mechanical processes, and pneumatic/hydraulic components. This role requires a safety-focused professional who can maintain critical manufacturing equipment with minimal supervision in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced electrical and mechanical maintenance on industrial extrusion equipment while adhering to safety protocols, quality standards, and production requirements
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex PLC systems, electrical circuits, and control panels in a manufacturing setting
• Calibrate instrumentation and conduct preventative maintenance inspections on production machinery
• Install new equipment and implement modifications to existing manufacturing systems
• Rebuild critical equipment components, including hydraulic systems, pneumatic devices, and mechanical assemblies
• Maintain facility infrastructure and grounds to ensure optimal operational conditions
• Take ownership of assigned equipment condition and performance metrics
• Document maintenance activities and prepare detailed technical reports with improvement recommendations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and plant-wide goals
• Respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies during assigned on-call weekends

Qualifications
Requirements:

• 2 to 5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated expertise with Allen-Bradley PLC systems, HMI interfaces, and industrial control systems.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills with the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Practical experience in maintaining and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Working knowledge of bulk material handling equipment (loaders, hoppers, vacuum systems).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two-year technical degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.
• Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to use precision measurement tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Fabrication skills: Welding, Milding, etc
  

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Experience in plastic extrusion, foam manufacturing, or similar industrial processes.
• Millwork, machine shop, and welding capabilities (MIG/TIG).
• Familiarity with SAP maintenance modules or similar ERP systems.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• NFPA 70E electrical safety certification.
• Experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs) and servo motors.
• Background in industrial automation and robotics.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
• Capable of frequently lifting up to 40 pounds.
• Must be comfortable working in non-climate-controlled industrial settings.
• Able to safely climb ladders and stairs to access equipment at various heights.
• Manual dexterity to operate hand and power tools with precision.
