Job summary

SBM Management seeks a Maintenance Technician to safely install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment across multiple facilities. The role covers carpentry, paint, electrical, HVAC, and cleaning tasks within an industrial setting.

The ideal candidate will have at least six months in a maintenance environment, with two years of electrical experience preferred, and a high school diploma or GED. Safety training and licenses may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of maintenance experience or equivalent training.
• Two years electrical experience minimum.
• High School diploma or GED or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Must complete safety, environmental and task training and/or certifications.
• May require valid driver's license; forklift and electric pallet jack certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and predictive maintenance.
• Perform general cleaning and maintains clean work area.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues.
• Communicate complex issues in a professional manner to coworkers and customers.
• Work safely in industrial environments and follow Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
• Maintain maintenance logs and schedules.
• Use hand and power tools; operate scissor lifts, ladders and scaffolding; welding considered a plus.

Job description

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for safely performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment in one or more fields (carpentry, paint, electrical, janitorial equipment, HVAC, vehicle/golf cart etc.)

To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

• Self-Starter with Leadership and problem-solving skills
• Perform routine and predictive maintenance
• Perform general cleaning and maintains clean work area
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment, electrical & mechanical issues and then repair
• Comfortable communicating complex issues with superior, co-workers and customers in a professional manner
• Proven ability to work safely in industrial environments
• Familiar with and utilize proper Lock Out/ Tag Out safety procedures
• Perform preventative equipment maintenance and repairs on all floor equipment, scrubbers, chariot vacuums, extractors, etc.
• Respond positively to requests in a timely manner
• Ability to use hand and power tools, use of scissor lifts, ladders and scaffolding. Soldering and welding a plus
• Maintain maintenance logs and schedules

Education and/ or Experience: Six months minimum experience in a company environment or equivalent experience and or training such as basic plumbing, painting, HVAC or construction. Must complete all safety, environmental and task training and or certifications.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: May required to have a valid driver's license. Forklift and electric pallet jack certification may be required.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
