Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to ensure the facilities are well-maintained and operational. The role involves working with the facilities team to carry out maintenance requests efficiently and effectively. You will be assisting with various tasks, including setup for events, communicating with staff, and problem-solving as needed.
Qualified candidates should have strong organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as a basic understanding of maintenance tasks including plumbing and electrical work. This position requires flexibility in hours and the ability to lift and move equipment as necessary.
The Maintenance Technicians role is to maintain the condition of the building, equipment, and tools by utilizing specific skills such as carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, plastering, painting, tiling, etc. that is pleasing and glorifies the Lord. This work is assigned by task through a work order system. The Maintenance Technician carries out the tasks as directed by the Maintenance Manager and/or the Maintenance Supervisor. This person works with facilities department staff, church staff, volunteers, and vendors to accomplish their assigned tasks. They are capable of using a variety of tools and equipment to perform the work. The Maintenance Technician will maintain the condition of properties building, equipment, and tools by utilizing specific skills such as carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, plastering, painting, tiling, etc. Factors to be considered are safety, cost, appearance, and efficiency.

You may have to bend, sit or stand for prolonged periods of time, life, pull, push and/or move up to 50 lbs.
This is a full-time (40 hours/week) hourly non-exempt position.
You may have to work evenings and/or weekends to assist with special events or emergencies.
