Job summary

Southern HealthCare Management is seeking a skilled Maintenance Assistant to support facility operations and ensure safe, reliable equipment performance. You will work with a dedicated team, follow service standards, and contribute to a clean, well-maintained environment.

You will perform preventive maintenance, read manuals, operate CMMS, and supervise contractors, while developing leadership skills and advancing your career within Florida facilities.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
• Experience with facilities maintenance and repair.
• Familiarity with logic controllers and electrical systems.
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Basic welding skills preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Leadership skills to supervise contractors and vendors during maintenance projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance and repair of facility equipment and systems
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues
• Use CMMS to track work orders and document repairs
• Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
• Fabricate and weld components as needed
• Assist in the installation of new equipment or systems
• Supervise contractors and vendors during maintenance projects
• Painting skills
