Summary

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Tech is responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of all properties occupied by Ibero American Action League, including our location in Albany NY.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of all areas, including offices, restrooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize surfaces daily.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and ensure proper disposal.
• Maintain inventory of janitorial supplies, maintenance tools and equipment.
• Respond to special requests for pick-up and delivery of supplies and equipment.
• Perform regularly basic maintenance activities, including repairs, rug cleaning, snow plowing, landscaping, mowing, pest extermination, fixture replacements, etc.
• Maintain agency owned equipment in good working order.
• Complete emergency and non-emergency repairs assigned by Supervisor.
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities and report issues to management/supervisor.
• Handle light plumbing, electrical, and mechanical tasks as needed.
• Assist with setting up rooms, furniture, and equipment for events or daily operations.
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain compliance with company policies.
• Maintain positive relationships and open lines of communication with Ibero personnel located at each site.
• May be required to be on call during non-working hours to receive emergency calls related to break-ins, fire alarms, or emergency repairs.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor.

This position holds a relatively high degree of independence within the framework of the agency's policies and procedures. The individual must be resourceful and able to display initiative and understanding of safety systems. Must keep immediate supervisor abreast of issues and concerns which merit intervention from higher level management staff.
