Job summary

Amcor is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician in Ohio to rebuild and overhaul diverse production equipment. You will document maintenance work orders, troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and lead parts or project teams to complete tasks on schedule.

You will join a safety‑driven team, support continuous improvement, and help ensure quality and reliability of packaging equipment in a fast‑paced facility.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to repair production equipment and document maintenance work orders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to safety, quality and housekeeping standards.
  • Experience coordinating internal and external resources for maintenance projects.
  • Familiarity with MRO systems and shop floor material usage to minimize waste.

Responsibilities

Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY:Reports to maintenance manager and is responsible to rebuild or overhaul all types of production and service equipment in the facility. Be able to work on tasks/projects as assigned by the Maintenance Manager. Must comply with all safety, quality, productivity and housekeeping standards.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Work shift coverage with major repair skills on all production equipment.Responsible for documenting all work performed and maintenance work orders (MWO’s) where necessary.Work with other maintenance, process and production personnel as necessary or directed in problem solving of equipment and production issues.Monitors parts usage and inventory; ensures efficient utilization of materials to minimize waste and production downtime utilizing MRO/JDE/Maintain XAble to fabricate most needed parts or structures using in-house equipment.Responsible for effectiveness of Planned Maintenance Programs on equipmentLead and organize inside and outside resources to implement projects. Assuring projects are completed within preset parameters.Assists in driving safety initiatives and promoting safe behaviors of othersEnsures efficient operation of production equipment based on schedule and process specifications (i.e. line speed, temperature); maintains product quality though established quality systems to ensure conformance to standards; escalates concerns to maintenance lead.All other assignments, general and specific, as directed by ManagerSafety – Responsible for working safely and following all plant safety rules and policies. Reports unsafe conditions.
