Job summary

Venterra Realty is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support daily maintenance operations at Avasa Hammock Landing in Florida. You will assist with repairs, preventative maintenance, and service requests while upholding safety and quality standards, and help lead the maintenance team.

This role requires flexibility for on-call rotation and a commitment to move-in ready apartments. We value strong leadership, reliable communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks

Qualifications

• HVAC certification required.
• CPO certification preferred.
• Experience in multifamily property maintenance or facilities management.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including on‑call rotation.
• Lifting/carrying up to 75 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders promptly, ensuring quality service and adherence to the 24- and 48-hour guarantees where applicable.
• Perform maintenance and repairs, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, appliances, and exterior structures.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to keep equipment, tools, and common areas in top condition.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager in daily operations.
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents by completing repairs, cleaning, and ensuring all features are in working order per our Total Quality Make Ready (TQMR) program as needed.
• Work independently while following company standards, demonstrating attention to detail, and maintaining a commitment to resident satisfaction.
• Provide emergency and on-call maintenance support as needed.
• Support the team with other duties as needed to maintain resident satisfaction and property standards.
