Job summary

Carlisle Brake & Friction Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Team Lead to oversee maintenance operations across mechanical power transmission, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding and fabrication, and related trades. You will troubleshoot, lead a team, and interact with engineering for safety and reliability improvements.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently or in cross-functional teams, with flexibility for extended hours and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of mechanical power transmission, hydraulics and pneumatics, welding and fabricating, pipe fitting, and constriction trades.
• Strong communication skills, analytical abilities and the ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Follow daily Leadership Standard work format to maintain shift consistency.
• Facilitate communications at shift change for smooth transitions.
• May require extended hours on break downs and repairs.
• Maintain a professional atmosphere and drive 5S results.
• Verify CMMS work is completed prior to turnover.
• Interface with engineering to upgrade equipment for safety and reliability.
• Support installation of new equipment and rearrangement of existing equipment.
• Operate basic shop tools to design and fabricate items.
• Identify and order components and estimate time required for jobs.
• Travel occasionally for training (<5%).
