Job summary

G&W Electric, a long-standing leader in power grid solutions, seeks a Team Leader Maintenance to guide a production maintenance crew and oversee preventive maintenance, work orders, and lean projects. This role reports to the Sr.

Maintenance & Facility Mgr and drives safety, efficiency, and reliability across the plant. You will manage daily tasks, coordinate training, and ensure high-quality outcomes while meeting operational targets and customer demand.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance with mechanical and electrical/electronic equipment.
• Ability to work under pressure and complete tasks in stressful situations.
• Read and interpret complex drawings and schematics.
• Strong interpersonal skills to lead a diverse team.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on leadership to the maintenance team and assign daily goals.
• Supervise performance evaluations with support from the area supervisor.
• Perform or assign preventive maintenance and work orders as directed.
• Conduct safety sweeps and employee training including TWI.
• Ensure safety of team members and compliance with policies.
• Coordinate maintenance projects and manage equipment repairs.
• Source tools and spares; control spare parts inventory.
• Maintain an efficient operation to meet customer demand and targets.
• Manage contractors on site per safety and policy requirements.
• Organize daily work schedules and delegate tasks for maximum effectiveness.
