Job summary

Navy Exchange Service Command in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Maintenance Worker Leader to guide a team of three or more Maintenance Workers NA-5 through NA-10 in building upkeep, repairs, and systems support.

You will oversee refrigeration and air conditioning units, carpentry, painting, electrical work, plumbing, and preventive maintenance, ensuring safety standards and timely completion of tasks. This is a full-time position with benefits across Exchange facilities.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in general maintenance of buildings, grounds, fixtures, and equipment.
• Five years of general maintenance work involving trade practices such as air conditioning, electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, masonry and painting.
• One year of high school education may substitute for 3 months of general experience up to a High School Diploma or GED for one year of general experience.
• Standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Maintenance Workers NA-5 through NA-10 in maintenance tasks.
• Maintain and repair refrigeration and air conditioning units and systems.
• Construct, repair and alter Exchange buildings.
• Paint interior and exterior areas and prepare surfaces.
• Repair electrical wiring, control equipment, and fixtures; install wiring and circuit breakers.
• Perform preventive maintenance and plumbing repairs.
• Ensure safety rules and that tools and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained.
• Communicate delays or problems to supervisor.
