Job summary

Rise Baking Company in Worcester, MA is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance team responsible for repair, maintenance, and installation of equipment in our manufacturing operation. You will ensure upkeep of all facility areas and adherence to safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills, experience with GMP, FDA/USDA/OSHA knowledge, and proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a maintenance team in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of GMPs, FDA/USDA, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
• Strong planning and scheduling abilities.
• Ability to manage maintenance budgets and cost-saving measures.
• Proficient with CMMS and asset management.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Directly oversee Maintenance team including staffing and performance standards.
• Oversee day-to-day assignments of the Maintenance team.
• Partner with the Maintenance Planner to assign technicians to work orders and projects.
• Ensure preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance tasks are completed.
• Monitor work to meet production schedules.
• Inspect completed work for conformance to specs.
• Suggest changes to increase efficiency and quality.
• Maintain time and production records.
• Manage the maintenance budget and cost-saving measures.
• Provide leadership in implementing preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
• Support HR on personnel issues.
• Foster teamwork and employee development.
• Support food safety, quality standards, and legality of manufactured products.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
