Job summary

John F. Martin and Sons, LLC is seeking a dependable maintenance technician to lead daily activities in a food manufacturing facility.

You will coordinate priorities, perform preventive and emergency repairs, and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues while guiding fellow technicians. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in industrial maintenance, knowledge of welding/PLCs, and strong time management plus teamwork.

Qualifications

• At least two years of industrial maintenance experience; food processing or food manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems; knowledge of welding and PLCs is helpful.
• Ability to lead by example, communicate clearly, set priorities, and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Dependable, self-motivated approach with strong time management, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow LOTO, GMP, PPE, food safety, company safety, and maintenance documentation requirements.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This position works in maintenance and production areas within a food manufacturing facility. The employee may work around moving equipment, wet or cold areas, temperature changes, noise, forklifts, production traffic, and sanitation chemicals. The role requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, kneeling, and crouching, as well as lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds.

Schedule

This is a full-time, hourly position, generally scheduled Monday through Friday. Overtime, schedule changes, or weekend work may be required based on operational and maintenance needs.
