Job summary

Scarlet Pearl Casino in Mississippi seeks a maintenance technician to provide preventative maintenance and repairs both inside and outside the facility to ensure a safe, efficient casino and hotel environment.

The role requires 21+ years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1–4 years in facilities maintenance or a trade certification. Candidates must be able to lift up to 100 lbs and operate tools with independence, including painting, plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Educational skills gained through attainment of an associate's degree or equivalent combination of education or practical work experience.
• Must have a certification in a trade and/or 1 to 4 years' experience in facilities maintenance.
• Must have a valid Mississippi driver's license with a clean driving record to meet driver eligibility requirements of Scarlet Pearl Casino's insurance policy.
• Basic knowledge of the hvac system, alarm system, and generators.
• Ability to perform basic painting, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and other projects relating to maintenance of the property with guidance from supervisor personnel.
• Must be efficient, organized, and have the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines; must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to safely and effectively operate hand and power tools.
• Must be able to stand and walk throughout shift.
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and work in confined areas.
• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Must be able to carry and communicate by two-way radio.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
• Must be available to work hours 3PM -11PM Friday to Tuesday.
