Job summary

Foster Poultry Farms is seeking a Maintenance Helper to assist maintenance mechanics in our processing facility in Alabama. The role supports safe, reliable, and efficient operations, working with supervisors and processing teams to ensure quality products.

Key duties include troubleshooting, basic electrical/mechanical repairs, and adherence to GMP, SSOP, and USDA requirements, with emphasis on safety and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write English legibly.
• Detail oriented with strong math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Able to communicate across all levels and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on assigned electronic and mechanical equipment.
• Support plant maintenance repairs in plumbing, sheet metal, pneumatics, electrical and electronics including PLCs and microprocessors.
• Assist other crews, maintain safety, housekeeping and sanitation per GMP, SSOP and USDA requirements.
• Interpret blueprints and electrical schematics; perform other duties as assigned.
