Job summary

The Siegel Group is seeking a Maintenance Level 1 to perform daily maintenance and work orders to turn apartments at Siegel Select Baton Rouge. You will handle monthly preventive maintenance and collaborate with the Property Manager on vendor oversight.

Candidate should have 5+ years in maintenance, 2+ years in supervision, and hold professional HVAC/plumbing/electrical certifications. Tools are required and problem solving in a fast-paced setting is essential.

Qualifications

• HVAC, plumbing, or electrical certifications required.
• Minimum 5 years’ maintenance engineering experience.
• Minimum 2 years’ supervisory experience.
• Own maintenance tools required.
• Legal ability to work under state and federal guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance to turn units and handle work orders.
• Execute monthly preventative maintenance on all units.
• Supervise and train maintenance assistants and improve turnover times.
• Coordinate with the property manager to ensure timely vendor services.
• Verify room readiness and availability to rent.
• Schedule and perform exterior and interior unit maintenance as needed.
• Participate in on-call coverage for tenant emergencies.
• Maintain OSHA compliance in shop and work areas.
• Keep tools and equipment needed for daily tasks.
• Adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
