Job summary

OxyChem is seeking a Millwright Supervisor in Geismar, Louisiana to lead maintenance on rotating equipment with a strong focus on safety and reliability.

The role requires 5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, with a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You will plan, schedule, and supervise outages and repairs, ensuring PMs are executed efficiently.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of Routine Maintenance Program (RMP) and related policies.
• Strong safety and environmental awareness.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Good written and verbal communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and supervise maintenance for rotating equipment at the site.
• Direct repair, preventive maintenance, and outages following RMP.
• Ensure SAP work orders have correct codes, hours, and descriptions.
• Coordinate materials requisition and scheduling to optimize resources.
• Lead safety meetings, audits, and incident investigations.
• Monitor maintenance histories and plant PM schedules.
• Supervise personnel and enforce maintenance processes.
