Job summary

Riverfront Apartments is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to keep buildings safe, functional, and well-maintained. You will handle routine work orders, preventive maintenance, and basic repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting while ensuring facilities and grounds look their best for residents, guests, and staff.

Ideal candidates have 0–1 year in maintenance, strong mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-1 years of maintenance, facilities, construction, property, or related experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance principles, tools, equipment, and repair practices.
• Interest in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliances, and general building systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new maintenance skills.
• Ability to follow instructions, safety requirements, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine work orders and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform preventive, corrective, and general repair maintenance throughout the property.
• Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, carpentry, painting, and general building repairs within your training scope.
• Conduct routine checks of equipment, facilities, grounds, and common areas to identify maintenance needs.
• Follow established preventive maintenance schedules and document completed work.
• Help maintain buildings, grounds, landscaping, parking areas, and walkways in a clean, safe, and attractive condition.
• Assist with seasonal maintenance needs, including snow and ice removal where applicable.
• Monitor and maintain pool chemistry, temperature, and equipment according to standards where applicable.
• Maintain tools, equipment, maintenance areas, and supplies in a clean and organized condition.
• Assist with maintaining inventory levels of maintenance parts and supplies.
• Follow safety, emergency procedures, and loss-prevention rules.
• Communicate professionally with residents, guests, vendors, and leadership when responding to maintenance needs.
