Job summary

Kalitta Air LLC is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the Powerplant Line Crew (Second Shift) in Oscoda, Michigan. The role leads and directs personnel to ensure high-quality maintenance on both powerplant and aircraft systems, while maintaining safety and productivity.

You will coordinate with leads and managers to achieve on-time, on-budget results, ensure compliance with industry procedures, and foster a safe work environment. FAA licensure is required, with an Airframe license preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate; 5 years min. experience in maintenance and repair on commercial category aircraft.
  • FAA Powerplant license is required / FAA Airframe license is preferred.
  • Must be able to work overtime, weekends & days off.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct personnel to ensure quality in Powerplant and Aircraft maintenance, minimize delays, work safely, and increase production.
  • Coordinate with Leads to ensure projects meet quality, on time and within budget, and manage workflow and task cards.
  • Coordinate with Line MX and hanger Managers to deliver aircraft on or before schedule.
  • Ensure compliance with GMM, RSM, SRM, CMM, MM, WDM, and FAR procedures with revised data.
  • Maintain a clean, safe workplace and propose improvements to upper management.
  • Report problems to the proper Manager and liaise with customers.
  • Ensure staff follow instructions and perform tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Perform other duties as required by OSC Powerplant Line MX Manager.

Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor – Powerplant Line Crew (Second Shift)

Reports to: Maintenance Manager – Powerplant Line Crew

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. The supervisor is responsible for leading and directing personnel under his/her supervision to ensure quality in both Powerplant and Aircraft maintenance, minimizing delays, working safely, and increasing production.

2. Working with Leads to ensure projects achieve quality work on time and within budget, as well as proper and efficient workflow and issuing of task cards.

3. Coordinate and communicate with the Line MX and hanger Managers to ensure all aircraft are delivered on or before schedule.

4. Ensuring company GMM, RSM, SRM, CMM, MM, WDM, and FAR procedures are followed, ensuring all aircraft work is performed with revised and approved data.

5. Keeping a clean, safe workplace always. Recommending improvements needed to increase performance, quality, etc. to upper management.

6. Reporting any problems affecting projects to the proper Manager, and liaising with customers.

7. Ensuring personnel are following instructions and performing tasks in a safe efficient manner.

8. Performing other duties as required/requested by OSC Powerplant Line MX Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must be able to work overtime, weekends & days off. FAA Powerplant license is required / FAA Airframe license is preferred.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school graduate; 5 years min. experience in maintenance and repair on commercial category aircraft.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to give verbal and written direction to assigned staff.
