Job summary

Dawn Foods, a Louisville, KY manufacturing leader, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations across production and facility assets. You will supervise up to 15 union technicians, coordinate contractor support, and ensure continuous, safe plant operations.

The role focuses on proactive maintenance, safety compliance, and driving improvements in equipment reliability and efficiency, with a Monday–Friday day shift and potential off-shift support.

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial technology, or related discipline with 1 year of maintenance supervisory/lead experience, or 5+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing team members.
• Ability to monitor, analyze, and improve maintenance performance metrics to drive results.
• Continuous improvement mindset with ability to drive process improvements.
• Promotes and enforces safety standards in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate, and supervise maintenance activities for machines, tools, equipment, buildings, and electrical systems.
• Manage proactive maintenance across all plant equipment and machinery.
• Keep equipment in safe working conditions and oversee preventative maintenance programs.
• Participate in maintenance activities to support staffing and operations.
• Maintain GMP, food safety practices, and safe work environment.
• Identify and implement plant equipment improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
• Manage training, discipline, and development of maintenance staff.
• Oversee maintenance spending within budget, including capital projects.
