Job summary

Nestlé S.A. is seeking a Production Supervisor for the Eden, NC area to lead a shift in a state‑of‑the‑art facility on the Virginia border. You will drive safety, quality, sanitation and cost performance while fostering a positive team culture and strong engagement with continuous improvement using NCE tools.

The role focuses on developing hourly staff, sustaining lean processes, and maintaining strict GMP compliance to produce leading Purina dog and cat foods. Night shift hours apply.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing, military, or related environment.
  • 1+ years’ supervisory experience in a manufacturing, military, or related environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure team meets standards in quality, sanitation, cleaning, lubrication and inspections.
  • Lead and support Nestlé Continuous Excellence initiatives and the factory’s improvement plan.
  • Participate in operational reviews and general meetings.
  • Facilitate disciplinary procedures and grievances with employees.
  • Train, coach and develop hourly production employees and manage timecards/production reports.
  • Ensure products comply with quality check points and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Manage production schedule to maximize output while minimizing costs.

Position Summary

One of our newest factories, located along the Virginia border, breathes new life into a former brewery, creating an innovative and technologically advanced pet food manufacturing facility. We have transformed the existing structure in Rockingham County to produce leading dry dog and cat food brands, including Purina Pro Plan®, Purina ONE®, and Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets®. With a strong focus on sustainability and safety, this facility is committed to doing our part to care for the environment, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal. As a Production Supervisor, your role is to lead and facilitate your team to achieve all goals related to safety, quality, sanitation, performance and cost, while maintaining positive employee relations and morale. You will be a change agent in your area, nurturing improvements to make the Eden factory better than ever. This role empowers the production team to seek new initiatives as well as ensure safe behaviors, all while maintaining excellences in quality and food safety. This vital role will lead your team in continuous improvement through our Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) tools to improve asset intensity and minimize costs. This position provides exciting professional development for those ambitious to make a difference.

*This role will be night shift (6:00 pm - 6:00 am).

  • Ensure that your team is consistently meeting or exceeding set standards in the areas of quality, sanitation, cleaning, lubrication and inspections
  • Lead and support Total Performance Management, Nestle Continuous Excellence initiatives and the factory’s continuous improvement plan
  • Participate and lead operational reviews and general meetings
  • Facilitate disciplinary procedures and grievances with employees
  • Train, coach and develop hourly production employees including management of timecards, vacation schedules and production reports
  • Ensure products are produced in compliance with quality key check points and within “Good Manufacturing Practices”
  • Manage the production schedule to maximize output while minimizing costs, including active participation in problem‑solving to achieve these results
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED Equivalent
  • 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing, military, or related environment
  • 1+ years’ supervisory experience in a manufacturing, military, or related environment

The approximate range for this position is $75,220 - $99,780. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
