Maintenance Supervisor – Off Shift

Full-Time (Off-Shift) Sunday - Thursday (8:00pm-6:30am)
Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and direction for the off-shift maintenance team by establishing daily priorities, allocating resources, and ensuring safe, efficient execution of maintenance activities supporting manufacturing operations.
- Leads the safe execution of reactive, preventive and corrective maintenance activities across the entire production facility to maximize equipment availability and minimize production disruption.
- Acts as the primary maintenance decision‑maker during off-shift operations, making timely operational decisions to restore equipment safely and efficiently.
- Coordinates maintenance priorities with Production, Quality and Operations leadership to support production schedules and customer commitments.
- Champions the Zero Harm culture through compliance with OSHA, LOTO, NFPA 70E, machine safeguarding and company safety requirements.
- Coordinates emergency breakdown response and assigns maintenance resources to critical equipment failures based on operational priorities.
- Provides technical guidance to maintenance technicians in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and controls‑related equipment failures.
- Ensures work orders, labour reporting and equipment history are accurately maintained within SAP PM or the company CMMS.
- Monitors completion of preventive maintenance activities during the shift and escalates risks that may impact equipment reliability or production.
- Ensures maintenance activities are completed in accordance with approved procedures, engineering standards and company processes.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related discipline. Equivalent apprenticeship, military or technical trade qualifications with relevant supervisory experience may be considered.
- Minimum five (5) years of industrial maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum two (2) years of supervisory or team leadership experience in industrial maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering degree.
- Experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment, industrial machinery and plant infrastructure.
- Experience utilizing SAP PM or equivalent Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, LOTO, machine safeguarding and industrial safety practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead maintenance teams during off‑shift operations and respond effectively to equipment breakdowns.
- Experience with heavy‑duty diesel engine, aerospace, automotive or advanced manufacturing environments.
- Experience with preventive, predictive and reliability‑centered maintenance.
- Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing, TPM or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience coordinating contractors and emergency maintenance response.
