Job summary

Burlington Capital Properties is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for Abbington at Stones River in Murfreesboro, TN. You will lead the maintenance team, perform repairs, troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry, and oversee vendor work to protect property condition and resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities include on-call coverage, cost control, and delivering excellent customer service while adhering to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must possess working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry essentials.
• Minimum two years of multifamily housing or equivalent experience.
• HVAC and CPO Certification required.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard apartment maintenance repairs including painting and appliance repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, HVAC, electrical and carpentry needs.
• Oversee contractors and vendors performing work at the property.
• Maintain on-call status for emergency maintenance.
• Control expenses to meet budget guidelines.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents at all times.
• Participate in resident events as required by the property manager.
• Follow safety and liability guidelines.

Maintenance Supervisor Wanted! Abbington at Stones River Apartments – Murfreesboro, TN

Burlington Capital Properties is now accepting applications for the Maintenance Supervisor position at our Abbington at Stones River Apartment Community in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. We pride ourselves in the quality living experience we provide to our residents and therefore are considering individuals with demonstrated abilities in the areas of leadership, maintenance, repairs and customer service. Maintenance team members protect and improve the overall appearance and maintenance of the property, and we value maintenance supervisors who understand their individual and team impact on the overall success of the property and resident retention.

The hours for this position are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with “on call” requirement for emergency maintenance on weekends/evenings.

Essential Job Functions

• Perform standard apartment maintenance repair which could include painting and appliance repair
• Troubleshoot and perform maintenance and repairs related to plumbing, heating, air conditioning, electrical, and carpentry
• Oversee contractors and vendors who may perform work at the property
• Maintenance team members are required to be “on call”
• Control expenses to meet budgeted guidelines
• Provide excellent customer service at all times
• Participate in all resident promotions and/or functions as required by the property manager
• Follow all safety and liability guidelines as outlined

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must possess adequate working knowledge of a property’s significant maintenance needs such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry etc.
• Minimum two years of multifamily housing or equivalent field experience required
• HVAC and CPO Certification required
• Valid Driver's License and good driving record required
• Ability to follow directives and work with minimum supervision
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to interact positively with residents, employees, vendors and the general public
