Connect Staffing and Consulting in Long Beach, CA is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations at a residential community. The role combines hands-on technical work with team leadership to ensure resident safety and a high-quality living environment.

You will supervise onsite maintenance staff, manage work orders and vendor coordination, and participate in budgeting with the Community Manager.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of maintenance supervisory experience in a residential setting.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• HVAC Certification is a plus.
• Advanced knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• English fluency (read/write/speak).
• General computer literacy for work orders and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and mentor the onsite maintenance team.
• Assign work orders, manage schedules, and support a high performance culture.
• Perform advanced hands-on maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.
• Manage the work order system from start to finish.
• Coordinate and inspect the work of outside vendors.
• Oversee the make ready process to ensure timely unit turnovers.
• Partner with the Community Manager on maintenance budgeting and expense control.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies and parts as needed.
• Conduct routine property inspections and address issues proactively.
• Support resident satisfaction by responding to maintenance needs promptly.
• Participate in a rotating on call schedule for after hours emergencies.

Pay Range: $28.00 to $34.00

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations at a residential community in the Long Beach area. This role blends hands on technical work with team leadership. You will guide the maintenance team, oversee property upkeep, and ensure residents enjoy a safe, well maintained, and high quality living environment.
