Job summary

BAM Capital in Champaign, IL is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead our on-site maintenance team and ensure all systems—from HVAC to electrical—run smoothly while keeping grounds and common areas in top condition.

You will train staff, oversee preventative maintenance, manage budgets and purchases, and uphold BAM's standards for resident experience. EPA Type 2 certification and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in property maintenance (supervisory experience a plus)
• EPA Type 2 or Universal Certification
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead the Team: Oversee and train maintenance staff to perform high-quality work in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general property upkeep.
• Maintain Standards: Ensure all systems and facilities meet BAM's brand standards and deliver a great living experience for residents.
• Preventative Maintenance: Schedule and oversee regular inspections and repairs to prevent issues before they arise.
• Team Development: Guide, coach, and help your team grow with training, feedback, and ongoing support.
• Cost-Effective Operations: Manage budgets, purchase supplies, and keep maintenance operations efficient.
