Job summary

Hitachi Energy in the South Boston, VA area seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead skilled maintenance technicians and drive safety, reliability, and performance across production and facility equipment.

You will plan preventive and predictive maintenance, partner with production and engineering to maximize uptime, and guide reliability initiatives while controlling costs in a collaborative manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or technical certification in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years in a supervisory or maintenance planning role.
• Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with CMMS tools such as SAP PM, eMaint, or similar.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements, LOTO, and industrial safety best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support maintenance technicians across disciplines
• Coordinate daily work assignments and ensure quality, timely execution
• Partner with production to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability
• Use CMMS/EAM systems to manage work orders, backlog, and asset data
• Support reliability programs including root cause analysis and KPI tracking
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, TPM, or RCM principles
• Manage spare parts, maintenance costs, and vendor coordination
