Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the on-site maintenance team at a San Jose community. The role centers on building upkeep, preventative maintenance, and coordinating vendor work to meet high standards.

You will supervise staff, schedule tasks, and ensure safety compliance while supporting residents with timely service requests. HVAC, plumbing, and electrical knowledge are essential, along with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• HVAC, plumbing, and electrical knowledge.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail.
• Ability to operate various hand tools including power tools.
• Maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts.
• Property maintenance/handyman experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and schedule daily maintenance tasks including preparing vacant units for occupancy and preventative maintenance
• Assist with interviewing, screening, and making recommendations for maintenance/housekeeping/grounds personnel
• Assist in training of service personnel
• Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment
• Maintain OSHA standards and company safety policies
• Handle all lock-outs for evictions and 24-hour service requests
• Schedule and assist in supervision and selection of vendor work
• Manage inventory and procurement of supplies for service, custodial and grounds teams
