Job summary

Vest Residential is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Virginia Beach, VA. The role oversees technical and mechanical work to keep community buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas up to Vest’s high standards.

You will handle work orders, prepare units for leasing, manage vendors, and ensure safety and quality through inspections and preventative maintenance. Strong technical and customer-service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type I/II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification.
• OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30, or willing to complete within 90 days.
• All required state/local certifications.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and completes resident service work orders and routine upkeep.
• Prepares vacant apartments for leasing; creates punch list and schedules vendors.
• Develops standards for grounds and building appearance aligned with Vest standards.
• Inspects work by staff and contractors; implements corrective actions as needed.
• Maintains inventory and coordinates with Community Manager on supplies and budget.
• Performs monthly preventative maintenance and supports cost-control initiatives.
• Conducts safety meetings and ensures OSHA compliance and MSDS availability.
• Provides strong customer service by addressing residents' questions and concerns.
• Assists Community Manager with budget for repairs and capital expenditures.
